University Tested
The finest quality fish body oils and fish liver oils should have undergone rigorous independent laboratory testing, by a third party, to ensure purity, safety and stability. European approval is known to be far more stringent than the rest of the world, and the best oils should meet the strict European standards on contaminants.
We went one step further and had our oil analysed at the internationally recognised Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling (United Kingdom), by a scientific group which has expertise in the nutrition and biochemistry of lipids and fat soluble vitamins, and undertakes commercial analysis for the Aquaculture, Food and Feed, Agriculture and Clinical sectors. The research director of the group, a Professor of Biochemistry at Stirling University, is on the editorial boards of both the British Journal of Nutrition and Aquaculture Nutrition.
With all the controversy over contaminants in fish oils, you can feel comfortable knowing that the results of the Institute of Aquaculture’s laboratory analysis showed that our oil complies with all of the strict European regulations on contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticides and microbiological contamination.
Our oil is also periodically tested for purity and nutrient levels.
